Let’s face the truth: Life is tough. It’s full of uncertain circumstances — those you can’t predict.
Nobody knows what will happen to you tomorrow or even in the next 60 minutes, for that matter. Expecting good situations is okay, but falling apart when things don’t go your way is terrible. It does not contribute anything to improve the circumstances.
When you get over one problem, it is only a matter of time until the next one arises. That’s life.
Sometimes, we feel good, and other times, not so much.
When an unfortunate circumstance arises, you must make a choice. Either you get sad about it and find more reasons to feel miserable, or you deal it with everything you have.
Looking for answers in the external world will not solve any problems. You have to take responsibility for what happens to you.
You don’t control what happens.
Remember this: You don’t control what happens but how you respond.
That’s Stoicism 101 right there for you.
You can’t predict unfortunate circumstances most of the time. But they will occur whether you want it or not. Therefore, you must be prepared to get through such situations. And the best way to do that is to build a strong mindset.
Understand that you must only focus on the things you control. When an unfortunate situation arises, give your everything to overcome it instead of leaving it as it is. It worsens if you keep complaining and finding more reasons to feel sorry for yourself.
You have to become stronger mentally. It helps you overcome any life circumstances related to health, relationships, wealth, or career. When you feel stronger in the mind, you can channel that strength and apply it in the external world.
Give it everything you got. Start with a solid mindset.
Instead of complaining, take actions that you can control. Do something about it.
For instance, if you are ill, start eating clean, exercising, and avoiding unhealthy lifestyles. Instead of crying about a disease, focus on these activities, which you can actually control and contribute to better circumstances.
Your mindset matters. How you look at a circumstance is how you can deal with it. If you think it’s terrible, it gets worse. Conversely, if you think you can deal with it, you will make it better.
Everything, including the solution to a problem, starts with your thoughts. Think better thoughts no matter the circumstance. Then, create a solid belief that things will get better. When your thoughts and beliefs are strong, you start to feel good. This feeling relies on your actions and manifests in better circumstances.
Stop complaining. Start doing.
Besides your thoughts, the words that come from your mouth also impact your circumstances.
Think better thoughts and speak better words. Keep them positive.
If you keep complaining and say, for example, “My health is getting worse; I don’t think I can fight this disease,” you won’t. Your words will manifest what you speak.
Say the opposite: “My health is getting better every day. I can easily fight this disease.”
As I said, your thoughts and beliefs reflect how you feel, and your words have a deeper impact on your situation.
When you think good thoughts, maintain strong beliefs, speak positively, and, most importantly, act accordingly, nothing can stop you from overcoming life’s problems. You become invincible. No person or situation can stop you from accomplishing any mission.
Remember,
- Good thoughts
- Strong beliefs
- Positive speaking
- Action
These will make you strong and help you overcome any obstacle.
