Every day I open my social media, I see some weird videos of a cat attacking a human or an influencer trying to sell me yet another product I don’t need. But in both these videos, I see something off—an element that makes me think, “It’s not real.” The sad part is that I don’t know if they are real. And there is no way to find out. Or is there?

When I first learned about Artificial Intelligence (AI), I thought of robots solving complex human problems. But now, things have changed; that definition of AI no longer applies. AI is at our fingertips, on our devices, and in the content we consume every day.

AI has impacted our daily lives in many ways — from writing better content to generating art in seconds to composing music, scripts, and business ideas, and more. There is really no limit to the abilities of AI.

After seeing all that AI can do, the unsettling thought remains: What happens when machines can out-create us?

With the presence of AI, human creativity has definitely felt the impact. AI is more creative in terms of speed, volume, and technicality. For instance, AI can generate content in seconds, whereas humans struggle for hours to do the same work.

AI gives you endless ideas with a few lines of instructions and a click of a button. It can provide you with infinite variations, just as you want. It can give you a polished structure and recognize patterns at scale.

In terms of these factors, AI has definitely surpassed human capabilities. But the question remains: Is creativity just about speed and volume?

The answer is no.

I can see that humans are beginning to fear AI. The rapid growth of technology has fearfully impacted our psychology.

Let’s talk about the fear of irrelevance. Have you ever questioned yourself this: “If AI can do it better, what’s the point of me?” I often ask myself this question, and every time I think about it, I get scared. Will I eventually lose my worth if AI becomes more advanced (which it will)?

Humans also fear losing their identity to AI. Many creatives define themselves by their output — the work they produce. But if that output is automated, who are we?

Then, there is the fear of economic displacement. What is going to happen to our jobs? Will AI take over us? How will we compete with AI? With most industries seeking human replacements through AI, there is definitely something to fear about. Some studies predict that up to 300 million jobs could be affected or replaced by 2030.

AI can do many things faster and more reliably. That’s an undeniable truth. For instance, AI is good at pattern recognition, optimization, systems of existing information, and generating variations. Human capabilities are nowhere near that of AI in these matters.

However, no matter how advanced the technologies get. There are many things it can’t do that we can. For instance, AI doesn’t have lived experience, mortality, emotional memory, personal stakes, conscious suffering, meaning, etc.

Machines are not humans. And that fact will always be true. AI can generate, but humans can experience. AI can create content; humans express consciousness. AI combines patterns; humans translate experience.

For example, AI can write about heartbreak, but it has never felt it. No matter how many times you instruct it to “sound human,” it will only give you a machine answer. It cannot feel what it feels like to lose someone you love.

Humans still have the upper hand — some things they don’t need to fear from AI. We can assign value and show human care. We can interpret things in our own way.

Humans have taste. We can curate things and give them meaning. We know what to amplify and what matters. AI cannot have a personal narrative even if it tries to sound human. Humans can have unique worldviews and cultural contexts.

Humans are responsible. We have ethical judgment, emotional sensitivity, and social awareness. AI only does what it learns. We understand people and build real connections. We can socialize and interact authentically with other humans. We can build a community that shares similar goals and values, unlike AI.

The Shift from Creation to Direction

AI will make everything for you if you say so. But that’s where we humans need to be careful. If you fear AI replacing you, why would you instruct it to do everything for you? Ironically, that’s what’s happening around the world.

Don’t ask AI to create everything for you. That’s where your creativity will lose its potential. And you are allowing it to happen.

Instead of treating AI as the “maker of everything,” use it as your editor, curator, director, visionary, and integrator. AI becomes a tool, an amplifier, and a collaborator. Humans remain the decision-makers and most importantly, the meaning-makers.

We have an advantage. We have emotional depth, courage, vulnerability, lived truth, and moral clarity. In an age of AI, authenticity becomes rare intelligence. If everyone is using AI, you can be different and share your own truth with the world by yourself, using the powers you have as a real human being.

Answer this: “Why do you create?” Is it to outperform machines or to understand yourself and your abilities?

Creation is exploration. It’s healing and connection. It’s about building a legacy. Your work is unique to you because you made it. Nobody — not AI, not another human — can replace what you can do uniquely.

That’s your advantage. AI may outperform you technically. But you create existentially.

Let’s dive into the future. AI is becoming increasingly advanced. What’s the future going to be like?

AI will handle most of the repetitive work; that’s for sure. It will increase automation of tasks—tasks that humans take hours to finish. It will create content for you more effectively. But there will still be a role for humans. We can focus on vision. We can direct AI and show the path. We can become the differentiator and provide depth.

So the question remains: When AI becomes more creative than us, what’s left for humans?

The answer: A lot of things — meaning, choice, story, responsibility, courage, soul, and many more.

AI may master patterns, but only humans live the story.

That’s what I kept telling myself whenever I wrote an article. I thought I needed more research, more editing, and a perfect conclusion. My biggest fear was that people wouldn’t like my article. “What if they think it’s useless?” “Why would anyone care about what I have to say?”

Many creators face similar problems. They overthink their creative potential and end up not publishing anything at all. I’ve seen writers, photographers, and even musicians not publish their work just because they thought it wasn’t good enough. However, when I saw their work, I found it excellent. It was in their own minds that kept telling them that they needed to do more.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my writing journey, it’s that you’ll never feel ready. But the truth is: readiness is not a requirement. It’s an illusion.

You can’t compare your rough draft to someone else’s 10-year career. Don’t expect your work to be perfect. If people judge your work, let them. Quit being afraid of judgment, being average, or being seen. There is no growth without imperfection. Every professional started as an amateur.

Publishing early accelerates growth.

Publishing imperfect work means you allow yourself to grow. When people give feedback on your work (positive or negative), you can improve on it. But if you don’t publish, you miss out on the feedback. You can’t improve in isolation. The market is the best teacher. Remember, real responses are more valuable than imagined criticism.

Another benefit of publishing imperfect work is that it creates volume. You build a massive amount of work, which builds your skills. A hundred imperfect posts are far greater than one perfect post.

Clarity comes from action. You don’t “find your voice” by thinking; you find it by shipping. The only way to know what you want, what the audience wants, and what you are actually interested in is to show up and publish. Let the work be imperfect. Let people judge and criticize your work. Yes, it will be tough, but it is the perfect way to improve and grow.

Why publish before you are ready

Readiness is an illusion. You feel like you aren’t ready because you fear judgment, you have an identity attachment problem, and there is an illusion of control. Publishing doesn’t mean you lose your identity or surrender control. It means you are ready to accept change for the better.

Publishing when you aren’t ready builds courage. Your identity becomes one that isn’t afraid to show up, even when you have insecurities. That’s how growth happens.

Publishing creates momentum.

It helps you develop discipline.

It attracts opportunities.

It builds an audience faster.

It reduces fear over time.

I didn’t think I had it in me. Writing was never something I thought I could do. But once I moved past my own insecurities, things changed. I showed up consistently, and before I knew it, I had written over 100 articles. My writing habits improved, and so did my skills. Opportunities I never knew I had came to me without trying hard.

Soon, I built an audience of over 1000 readers. It came faster than I had imagined.

How to publish before you’re ready

Remove the fear of judgment, being average, and being seen. That’s a good way to start. Then, you follow these simple steps to see real change over time.

Set a deadline (not a quality threshold): Deadlines force decisions. Decide in advance: “This goes live on Friday.”

Use the 80% rule: When it’s 80% good, publish it. Let feedback improve the rest.

Short the creation cycle: Draft → Edit once → Publish. Avoid endless revision loops. It creates more doubts because you might identify more imperfections in your work.

Separate creation from evaluation: Create boldly and edit logically. Don’t mix the two.

Measure output, not applause: Track how often you publish. Ignore vanity metrics (views, likes, followers, etc.) in the early stages.

What worked best for me was creating a weekly publishing schedule. No matter what happened, I had to publish three articles every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. That was it. I didn’t care if they were getting views. I published them and posted them on my social media. Then, I’d move on to the next.

Soon, I had a library of work that helped me get traction. People started noticing me because I was consistent. My CTA helped me build an email list of over 500 people. That was a game-changer for me. From then on, I knew how things worked and applied the same formula to create more content and grow my audience.

Conclusion

You don’t publish when you’re ready. You publish to become ready. Confidence is the result, not the prerequisite.

What are you sitting on? What draft is collecting dust? What idea are you overthinking? Do what you can. Use what you have. Try this: Publish something this week. Hit “post” before it feels fully comfortable. And embrace visible growth.

Your future audience is waiting for your imperfect beginning. Start messy; grow publicly.

I remember the night when I started questioning everything. I had doubts about what I was doing in life — from writing online to running my creative agency. On the days I didn’t produce the desired output, I felt like I was wasting my time and energy.

“Why is this happening to me?”

“Is writing worth it?”

“Should I quit and try something completely new?”

These were some thoughts I had during that night. My writing wasn’t producing any results. So, I was blaming algorithms, people, and questioning my self-worth. My agency wasn’t meeting our targets, so I had to rethink our systems.

Oh! That night was painful.

The next morning, I wasn’t feeling much better, but I had an idea. “What if this isn’t destruction, but material?” “What if I can use this difficult moment to share my story and help people in similar situations?”

Ideas began flowing to me. I couldn’t believe that the moment that hurt me the most was actually giving me ideas to create something valuable. So, I used most of those ideas and made content — articles, LinkedIn posts, PDF guides, and short reels. In a few weeks, things started kicking off, and I was on the right path again — closer to my goals.

In this article, I’ll share how you can turn pain into art using simple strategies. Hopefully, you can use them to turn your life from a difficult situation to a creative one. Let’s start with this truth I learned the hard way.

Pain forces you to feel. And feeling fuels creation.

Creativity thrives on emotional depth. The more you can feel and express it, the better you can create. It doesn’t matter whether you are a writer, musician, videomaker, or painter; your work is a reflection of your inner feelings.

Happiness is easy to describe. You can talk about your happy moments without feeling hardship or pretending. However, pain requires courage. It demands reflection. The dark moments in life slow you down and force you to be aware, which can be an advantage when creating art. These moments make you ask deeper questions like:

Who am I?

What do I want?

What actually matters?

Allow yourself to feel pain and be fully aware of it. Turn that emotional awareness into creative art. However, remember that surface emotions create surface work. Conversely, depth creates resonance.

When things fall apart, you stop pretending or performing. You become honest with yourself. When you can express things honestly, that’s magnetic for creative work. It helps you connect with other people because you are being true to them. You aren’t polishing your work to sound smart or effective. You are you.

Your struggles make your voice unique.

If you open YouTube or any creative platform, you find that 80 percent of the content is similar. People are giving the same motivational advice and showing the same “productive morning routine.” In fact, most so-called creators are copying what they see works for other people.

As a consumer, that’s not very helpful. You can rely only on a few content sources for your information. The rest is useless.

However, the best way to create something unique to you is to share your struggles — failures, heartbreak, insecurity, cultural background, life battles, etc. Your pain is specific, and that specificity is your advantage.

You must capitalize on your unique creative craft. You can share your story, explain how you overcame it, and focus on the things you learned. In short,

Experience the pain.

Reflect on it.

Extract the lessons.

Translate it into a story or insight.

Offer it to others.

Darkness becomes valuable when processed, not just endured. You need to use your pain to create something valuable. People who resonate with your story will build a strong connection with you.

Unprocessed pain is suffering. Processed pain becomes art.

How to turn pain into creative gold

Most of us avoid sharing our darkest moments. We don’t want people to know about our sufferings because that’ll show that we are vulnerable.

We fear being judged or people reopening our wounds. But the parts you hide are actually the most powerful ones. That’s because people resonate with what feels real.

Success isn’t as appealing for most people as failure. When someone is in pain, we are more intrigued by their story. We want to know more about what caused the pain, how the person is doing, and what strategies are helping them overcome the suffering.

Here are some practical ways you can turn pain into creativity (art).

Journal without editing. When you write in a journal what you actually feel, you express your true emotions. It helps you become aware of your own situation, including your thoughts and feelings.

Ask better questions. What did this teach me? What belief changed because of this? What would I tell someone going through the same situation? These questions are starters for acting from pain and creating something valuable.

Share lessons, not scars. When you are willing to share your pain with the world, avoid trauma-dumping. It’s not therapy. And honestly, people won’t care if you are only trying to gain sympathy. Instead, focus on insights and growth. What did you actually learn from it?

Create after reflection. Don’t create in chaos — when you are emotionally unstable, and the pain is still active. Instead, create after clarity — when you have become aware of your feelings and asked better questions.

Final thoughts

Right now, sharing your pain might feel uncomfortable. And it is. It’s not easy to talk to people about your hardships. It’s not easy when you are struggling. But it’s also necessary to capitalize this situation. As we discussed, dark moments are a source of creative gold.

Now, imagine looking back at this moment in the future. You will not just bring back the memories but also understand what you’ve been through. You will appreciate yourself more because you overcame the difficulties and became a different person — stronger and better.

Your self-confidence and self-respect grow when you realize your accomplishments. Also, you will have an audience that appreciates your work more because you were honest and true. You’ve always been that way.

The breakdown might be the beginning, the rejection might become your message, and the pain you’re surviving today might become the story that saves someone tomorrow.

Once again, your darkest moments aren’t the end of your story. They’re the raw materials for your better ones.

Picture this: you wake up, check your phone for a minute, which turns into another 45 minutes of scrolling, and when you finally wake up, you will have consumed so much that your brain just isn’t functioning as it should.

I’ve been there. Every morning, I look at my phone screen for 15–20 minutes, and it makes me feel different. My eyes become itchy, and my brain isn’t 100% normal. I don’t know the medical side of it, but I just know that something isn’t right. My mind is filled with clutter, I’m comparing my life to others’, and my creative energy is low.

I finally decided to shut down my phone in the morning and before bed. My day should start with a creative mindset rather than a consuming one.

This single shift transformed my focus, output, and confidence.

The side effects of consuming first

Starting my day consuming wasn’t very ideal for my physical and mental health. Let’s discuss some side effects of consuming first.

You start your day responding to comments, thinking about others’ ideas before your own, and your brain becomes passive.

Social media floods you with opinions, trends, and angles. You start to believe the things you see rather than your own conscious beliefs. You start becoming what you consume, and that can be scary.

This one is the worst. Comparing your life with others is such a brain-damaging activity. You begin to think thoughts like:

“They’re ahead of me.”

“My work isn’t that good.”

“Why can’t I have what they have?”

Your brain gets endless input from what you consume. So, your focus becomes scattered. You can’t do one thing properly and are not fully present. Your willpower lowers for actual work.

Remember: The first thing you feed your brain shapes everything that follows.

What “Create First” does instead.

Once I shifted from consuming to creating, my life literally changed. My focus improved, and so did my creativity. I felt energized every morning, and everything seemed better.

When you start creating first, you start your day being in control of your actions. You act instead of react. You are in charge of where your attention flows, so you start the day producing.

You keep a promise to yourself not to consume first. The momentum starts early as you begin to do the work that actually matters — creating. This grows your confidence. You start to trust your actions more because you can see the results.

Your thoughts are pure and fresh. So, you can use them to the best of your ability. You begin to shift your identity from a consumer to a creator, which is crucial for growth.

How I started creating instead of consuming

Understand that your attention is your most valuable asset. What you consume, you become. It programs your brain. So, you must protect your attention and keep it ready for creation.

Your brain loves easy dopamine, which you can obtain from scrolling. On the other hand, creating can be uncomfortable and challenging. Your brain doesn’t like it. However, growth requires you to do the difficult tasks. Joe Rogan said, “Difficult things make regular life less difficult.” I agree with his statement. Growth requires challenge. Winning the first battle of the day changes your trajectory.

Here are some things I did to create instead of consume.

No phone for the first hour.

Reading books instead of scrolling.

Writing before checking notifications.

Two hours of deep work (focused creation) daily.

No phone an hour before bed.

Within two weeks, I began seeing massive changes. For instance, my energy was high in the morning. I didn’t feel lazy. My creativity increased significantly, allowing me to write/create more content every day.

Furthermore, ideas flowed more easily because my brain was functioning well. My anxiety reduced, and last but not least, my work output grew 10x (or more).

I didn’t make massive changes to my routine. Some simple rules made it easier for me to stop consuming. You can steal them if you want.

Set a clear creation target: 100 words, 30 minutes, one idea, one draft.

Create a no-consumption window: No social media, emails, YouTube, etc., before you create something.

Prepare the night before: Decide what you’ll create beforehand. I wrote my to-do list in the evening, which made me ready for the next day. Also, I kept my workspace ready for creation.

Start small: The goal isn’t to create something big. It’s to become a consistent creator. Remember, consistency > intensity. Even 10 minutes of creation a day will help you shift your identity from consumer to creator.

The long-term impact

Imagine you follow this “creating before consuming” rule for a year. How different would your life be? I’ve been doing it for almost two months now, and I can already notice massive changes.

Here are some possibilities for the long run.

Hundreds of pages written.

Skills sharpen.

Audience grown.

Self-respect strengthens.

Less comparison.

More clarity.

More output.

More income.

The possibilities are endless. Your life will literally change if you make this tiny shift to your daily routine.

Stop feeding your mind before using it. Ask yourself this every morning:

“Before I let the world speak to me, what will I say first?”

I didn’t show up consistently, and that was the problem. Later, I understood why creating every day is necessary, and how it can be done.

Successful creators have a secret: they don’t rely on motivation. They aren’t waiting for inspiration. Instead, they take action. Conversely, unsuccessful creators wait for inspiration. They promise themselves they’ll start “tomorrow.” They complain they don’t have everything.

The difference: people who create every day, even when they don’t “feel” like it, win. They know that consistency is built on systems, not moods. So, they follow a schedule, not their emotions.

Let’s look at some reasons you don’t feel like creating.

Mental resistance: The human brain prefers comfort and certainty. Creating means thinking, which requires effort and the acceptance of risk and the possibility of failure.

Decision fatigue: You have too many choices. For example, “What should I write about?”, “Is this good enough?”, or “Should I post today?”

Energy mismanagement: Lack of sleep, poor routines, and overconsumption (scrolling > creating).

The problem isn’t creativity; it’s friction.

The number one problem with most people is that they rely on motivation. Motivation is inconsistent. Some days, you are highly motivated, and most days, you aren’t. If you followed this pattern, you would only create on “some days,” which you don’t want.

F*ck motivation! You need discipline — action that actually gives you motivation to keep going.

Action isn’t just the effect of motivation, but also the cause of it…Your actions create further emotional reactions and inspirations and move on to motivate your future actions. — Mark Manson

Reframe creativity as a habit, not a feeling. Do you wait for inspiration to brush your teeth? No, because that’s a habit, not something you do only when you “feel” like it.

Think of creativity the same way (as a habit) and observe how your daily actions and outcomes change. Become a person who creates daily. That way, you refer to creativity as an identity-based habit.

This can be a game-changer, especially if you rely too much on motivation or don’t have many ideas to create something.

Don’t see the creative process as something big. It’s not. You don’t have to write 5,000 words a day. You don’t have to paint a masterpiece in a single sitting. You don’t need to compose a Grammy-winner.

You just need to get the ball rolling.

Here’s what you should do if you are clueless: use the 5-minute rule. Create for just 5 minutes. That’s it. Once you build something in this time, you’ll feel good about it. And you’ll start engaging more in it.

Also, reduce your expectations. Start with one paragraph, one idea, or one rough draft. Focus on starting, not finishing. That’ll take the pressure off you.

Remember, momentum > perfection.

Most days, I don’t “feel” like writing an essay. So, I write 100–200 words. I post it on LinkedIn or keep it in my draft. But those 200 words make me feel good because I created something instead of doing nothing.

Later, I understood that there is a difference between creating and publishing. Most importantly, you do not have to publish everything you create. Read that again!

Yes, not everything has to go public. You can create privately if needed, to keep the momentum going. It will help you learn, improve, and build consistency. Doing things privately will remove performance pressure.

Most writers have a problem. They rely too much on inspiration instead of action. So, instead of being honest with themselves about the actual truth, they tell themselves (and others) that they are not inspired and are trying to find the right “idea” to write about.

Not being able to write isn’t a problem of creativity. Instead, it’s a visibility problem. It means that writers are too vulnerable to show their true selves. They don’t want to be seen as someone who isn’t perfect. So, they hide behind the lie of “inspiration.”

The truth is, “You don’t have writer’s block; you have exposure anxiety.”

When you say you’re blocked, it feels safe. People think you are working on some great stuff. It’s just that you haven’t found the right way to execute it. But the truth is different. You are actually hiding from being exposed.

Saying you’re blocked protects your ego. It delays judgment and avoids vulnerability. So you keep using this idea to avoid producing any work.

In reality, you are afraid to hit publish. You have 10 articles in the draft, but you keep perfecting them. They never feel ready for you.

Let’s break down the common fears.

Fear of judgement: “What will people think?” Your colleagues, friends, and family might see your work and judge you. They might misunderstand what your work represents.

Fear of not being good enough: We’ve all experienced this at some point. It’s called impostor syndrome. You compare yourself to top creators and think you aren’t as good as them. So, you hide behind the idea of being blocked.

Fear of success: Yes! It’s a thing. “What if it actually works?” It feels scary because more visibility means more responsibility. So, the pressure to keep producing seems terrifying.

Fear of revealing yourself: You don’t want to put forward your opinions, stories, or truths. You believe that writing will expose you to the world.

How can you overcome these fears?

It’s easy; you shift your identity and mindset.

As a creator, it’s common to have these fears. I did. But I had to overcome them to become a better writer. And I did that by the much-needed mindset/identity shift.

Instead of asking, “What if they don’t like it?”, start asking, “What if this actually helps someone?”

Think service instead of ego. You are creating to help someone who is facing some difficulty in life. It can be personal or professional. If you have even a little information that can help this person, you must do it. Try to help a single person instead of thinking about a hundred or thousands of people. Shift your mindset from self-protection to contribution.

Next, you need to let go of perfection. I call “perfectionism” a disease that kills success. It stands in the way of your dreams. It keeps blocking possibilities that might actually change your life.

I tried to perfect every article I wrote. I would spend hours (even days) trying to write it perfectly. It only made things worse when I didn’t get the results I wanted. When I let go of perfectionism and started writing freely, it not only helped me produce more work (quicker) but also helped me build an audience that resonated with the topics I wrote about.

Here are some quick tips to help you move past your fears.

Lower the stakes: Post something small first. Write shorter pieces, share your thoughts in a 100-word post instead of a 1,000-word essay.

Expect discomfort: Feeling exposed is normal. Courage doesn’t feel confident at first. But when you move through discomfort, the world will become a different place.

Detach from the outcome: Outcomes aren’t in your control, but effort is. So, focus on what you can control. Remember, not every piece needs to go viral. Focus on reps, not reactions.

Build proof of bravery: Set a goal to publish daily or weekly. Make sure you don’t miss a post. Then, track your consistency, not applause.

If you feel blocked, remember that you are just being afraid of something. Ask yourself what it is. If you are trying to hide or avoid the truth, stop and act despite your fears.

Here’s something I want to leave you with:

You don’t need more inspiration. You don’t need more skills. You need more courage.

When you build the courage to show up and hit publish, your growth begins.

In today’s world, boredom feels like an enemy. The moment it creeps in, we reach for our phones, scroll endlessly, and fill every empty second with stimulation.

But what if boredom isn’t something to avoid? What if it’s actually one of the most fertile states for creativity?

Boredom used to be a regular part of life. Waiting in line, sitting in traffic, or simply lying in bed with our thoughts were common experiences.

These quiet, uneventful moments gave our minds space to wander, and that wandering often led to ideas, connections, and insights.

Now, with constant access to entertainment, we’ve forgotten how to be bored. Every pause is instantly replaced by a swipe, tap, or scroll. But when we do this, we also silence the mental space where creativity thrives.

Boredom as Mental Rest

Our brains are constantly processing—reacting to messages, consuming information, and jumping from one task to another. This mental busyness leaves little room for reflection or imagination.

Boredom, however, is like a reset button. When we’re not distracted by external noise, our minds shift into what scientists call the default mode network—the same state activated during daydreaming or deep thought. This is where creative ideas are born.

Some of your best ideas probably came in the shower, during a walk, or when you couldn’t sleep at night—all moments when you were doing nothing.

That’s boredom doing its quiet magic.

How Boredom Sparks Creativity

1. It gives your brain space to connect ideas.

Creativity isn’t about inventing something from nothing. It’s about connecting old ideas in new ways.

When bored, your mind naturally starts linking unrelated thoughts, leading to fresh perspectives and insights.

2. It pushes you to find stimulation from within.

When nothing external entertains you, you start exploring your inner world. You may start writing, sketching, imagining, or problem-solving simply to escape boredom.

That internal search often becomes the birthplace of creativity.

3. It encourages reflection.

Boredom creates the perfect condition to ask yourself questions like, “What am I really interested in?” or “What’s missing in my life?”

Many creative pursuits start with such self-inquiry.

Examples of Creative Boredom

Some of history’s most creative breakthroughs happened during downtime.

Newton was lounging under a tree (bored, perhaps) when he wondered about gravity.

J.K.Rowling conceived the idea of Harry Potter while staring out of a delayed train window with nothing else to do.

Einstein often emphasized the importance of “combinatory play”—letting the mind wander freely between unrelated ideas.

None of those moments were born out of hustle or constant productivity. They came from stillness and space.

How to Use Boredom to Your Advantage

If you want to spark your creativity, don’t run from boredom; invite it.

Put away your phone when you’re waiting or walking. Let your thoughts drift.

Schedule “empty time.” It sounds strange, but blocking 15 minutes to do nothing can recharge your creativite thinking.

Do mindless activities like washing dishes or going for a walk without music. These low-focus moments often lead to sudden insights.

Boredom isn’t a problem. It’s an opportunity. It’s the mind’s way of saying, “You’ve consumed enough; now it’s time to create.”

In a world that glorifies constant stimulation, daring to be bored might just be the most creative act of all.

When I heard people were using AI and ChatGPT to write content, I thought that was insane. Wouldn’t it take away their creativity? That was my first concern.

Also, I thought AI would never be helpful for me because I always wrote my own stories and content.

But the hype was real, so I had to give it a go. I learned that AI is a powerful tool, and it’s up to the users how they use it. If you’re still ignoring AI in your content process, you’re probably wasting hours and missing out on serious opportunities.

I recently watched an interview with one of the finest music composers of this era, A.R. Rahman. The interviewer asks, “Are you concerned about AI taking over human creativity?” He gave this beautiful analogy, saying that AI is like a knife in your kitchen. It’s up to you whether you want to cut vegetables with it or murder someone.

Basically, he meant that AI is a tool. If you depend entirely on it and use it for everything, your existence becomes useless. However, using it wisely will help you multiply your creativity and take it to a different level.

How AI Has Changed the Content Game

We live in a world where attention is the most valuable currency, and content is the medium of exchange.

But the rules have changed. No longer is it just about how well you can write or how creative you are — it’s also about how fast, how often, and how strategic you can be.

That’s where AI steps in.

Today’s AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Grok, Jasper, and Claude, can generate blog ideas, write outlines, repurpose social content, brainstorm headlines, summarize podcasts, and analyze trends.

I’ve used AI to:

Generate ideas for my articles and newsletter posts.

Draft outlines for my stories.

Research about the latest trends and better writing techniques.

Repurpose long-form content into small, multiple posts for social media.

It’s not about outsourcing the soul of your content. It’s about speeding up the parts that slow you down.

What You’re Missing If You’re Not Using AI

1. Speed without sacrificing quality

Before AI, writing an article took me a long time. I would spend hours researching, ideating, outlining, writing, and editing my posts.

What took me 2–3 hours now takes me less than an hour, usually 30–45 minutes.

I still polish and add my voice, but the bulk of the work—the structure, flow, and even some phrasing—is already there. AI helps me skip the “staring at a blank screen” phase, which used to consume a lot of time.

If you’re still writing from scratch every time, you’re likely overworking for results that AI could help you accelerate.

2. Massive idea generation

AI doesn’t run out of ideas. Only humans do. Thanks to AI, I can use it to come up with multiple ideas for my blogs, social media posts, newsletters, and products.

AI is my creative partner. I ask it for:

Blog post ideas

Trending topics

Suitable headlines

Outlining the draft

It gives me many options in a few seconds.

I won’t say AI will always give you gold, but it will provide you with something to build on. And that is often all you need to get going.

3. More content, less burnout

In the past, I had to choose between:

Writing a blog post

Sending a newsletter

Posting on LinkedIn and X

Creating carousels and designs

Now, I do all four by repurposing with AI.

A blog becomes:

A LinkedIn post

A thread

A newsletter email

A carousel outline

If you’ve ever felt that content creation is a full-time job, AI helps you multiply output without multiplying the stress.

4. Better research and SEO

AI is best for research, learning about the latest trends and topics. Ask AI about anything; it will give you precisely what and how you need it.

For example, you can use AI for:

Keyword research

Identify trending topics

Competitor analysis

Better headlines

Summarizations

I’ve used AI to optimize headlines and meta descriptions, generate FAQs, and even structure blog posts around SEO clusters. This used to take me hours, but now it’s mostly free and instant.

Let’s Be Clear: AI Isn’t Magic

AI is powerful, but only when you bring the perspective.

If you copy-paste whatever it gives you, your content will sound robotic and generic. You still need:

Your unique voice

Your real-life experiences

Your personal insights

AI cannot tell personal stories or feel real, human emotions. Only you can do it. AI is only here to help you.

Whether you want to write blog posts, generate ideas, ask for social media posts, or do something else, you must tweak AI-generated content to sound more like you.

Otherwise, your content will not be authentic. It will not reflect the real you and the message you are trying to convey.

Lastly

AI won’t replace human writers and creators. But it will replace those who refuse to adapt. If you’re creating content in 2025 without AI, you’re running a marathon while others are using a bike.

The choice isn’t whether AI will be a part of content creation — it already is.

Content creation can feel like a never-ending job, whether you are a writer, filmmaker, musician, or internet personality. You need fresh content almost every day.

That’s tough.

As a writer, I had difficulty coming up with innovative ideas, which kept me from creating consistently. It also took me hours to ideate, outline, write, and edit a particular post.

Additionally, I had to post on social media platforms, send weekly newsletters, create designs, and sometimes film videos. It felt like a never-ending task every week.

It felt impossible to stay consistent and creative without burning out.

But that doesn’t happen anymore—thanks to AI. I can create quality content 10 times faster.

Here’s how I do it (and how you can too).

1/ Build a Content Pillar

I first pick a core piece of content — usually a blog post or a long-form article. I call this my content pillar because it helps me create other forms of content later.

A long-form article is usually valuable, in-depth, and helpful. For example, I recently wrote a post titled “The 5-Step Morning Routine Backed by Psychology That Boosted My Success.” I used AI (ChatGPT) to help brainstorm headlines, structure the outline, and speed up the draft.

However, I still wrote the core message myself because it was about my morning routine. I had to research some psychological facts for the article, which was easy because of AI. Further, AI helped me skip the “black page paralysis”—something that happened a lot to me in the past.

If you can provide a strong prompt to ChatGPT or other AI chatbots, it makes brainstorming and ideating 10x faster. This is the prompt I used for my article:

“Outline a blog post on the best morning routine backed by psychology, and include the following five major activities to it.”

2/ Repurpose the Pillar Content

Once my long-form blog is ready, I turn it into smaller content pieces using AI:

1 LinkedIn post: I extract the key insight and turn it into a short, engaging narrative or thought piece.

1 X thread or 4–5 posts: I break the article into a thread or 4–5 puncy, standalone tweets (I still call them that, even though Twitter has become X now).

1 Instagram carousel: I use subpoints as slides, and AI helps me write captions for the post.

1 newsletter: I summarize the post with a friendly intro, a lesson, and a link to read more for my weekly newsletter.

1–2 designs: I sometimes turn my article into an infographic or animated video content. For that, I use Canva. However, AI helps me decide what design elements to use.

That’s five solid pieces from one blog. AI tools like ChatGPT, Notion AI, and Canva’s Magic Write can help speed this up.

Prompt I use:

“Turn this article into a X thread with a strong hook and 6 points.”

Or

“Write a newsletter email for my subscribers about this blog. Also, add a link so that they can read the entire article.”

3/ Batch Create Visuals and Captions

As I said, I use Canva to create designs for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms. I usually pick pre-made templates on Canva and tweak them to my liking.

Since I already have the copy (thanks to AI), designing becomes drag-and-drop easy. I also ask ChatGPT to write captions that match the tone for each platform:

Professional for LinkedIn

Friendly and relatable for Instagram

Punchy and direct for X

I batch create all the visuals and save them in a folder by platform.

Prompt I use:

Write an Instagram caption in a warm, friendly tone for my article about psycologicallly backed morning routines. Here’s the link to my article: [my article link].”

4/ Scheduling

I use AI to make my work easier and faster. I do not have to manually generate ideas and write drafts for my content.

What’s even better is scheduling the posts once they are ready so that I do not have to worry about posting them manually. I use planning and scheduling tools that allow me to do that.

Metricool for social media

ConverKit (now known as Kit) for newsletters

Notion for personal planning

I upload all the content, add dates, and schedule everything out.

Knowing my content is locked in for the week gives me peace of mind (and frees up the rest of my week for more profound work or client projects).

But What About Quality?

Just because I use AI doesn’t mean I copy-and-paste whatever it throws at me. I always ensure the final content is how I want it to be.

AI helps you move faster, not think less.

I never post something without reviewing and personalizing it. I still inject my voice, tell my stories, and use my own experiences. AI just moves the friction.

AI is like having an assistant who:

Gives you ideas

Polishes your grammar

Suggests better phrasing

Helps brainstorm like a pro

The creativity still comes from me. AI just gives me speed and accuracy.

Lastly

AI isn’t here to replace your creativity; it’s here to amplify it.

Using AI can be a game-changer if you’re trying to show up consistently online but feel like there’s never enough time.

Thanks to AI, I can spend one focused day creating content for the week and free up the rest of my time to grow my business, write more stories, work on client projects, or just enjoy life.

So, that’s pretty much how I create more content with less stress while still staying true to my voice.

Feel free to use the workflow and tools I use to automate your creative process using AI, too.

One of the biggest creativity blocks is the need to be perfect. The best way to overcome this? Lower the stakes. Instead of aiming for a masterpiece, tell yourself, “I just need to get something down.” Creativity thrives when you remove the pressure of immediate success.

Your brain loves routines. If you struggle to switch into creative mode, try developing a simple pre-work ritual. It could be:
